Shai was drafted 11th overall by the Charlotte Hornets in 2018 and then traded to the LA Clippers. He played his rookie season there and was traded to OKC for Paul George when Kawhi went to the Clippers. In the 2023-24 season, Shai had finally made the leap to superstardom at the age of 25 and brought his team to number 1 in the West.
